Cloud Based Web Collaborator – Red Rain Corporation

Launched in February 2019, Red Rain’s Cloud-Based product Web Collaborator has been enthusiastically received by Law Firms in Australia. Red Rain’s Director Alan Fisher describes the software as the perfect tool for existing LEAP Legal Software users to provide the same type of web access capability that Australia’s largest law firms provide their clients.

Red Rain Corporation is one of Australia’s premier specialist consultancies and software providers for the legal profession, with experience in the implementation and management of practice management around the world. Red Rain Corporation offers a variety of consulting, strategy, project management and operation services to legal clients of all sizes and are acknowledged experts in the implementation and management of LEAP Practice Management software.

Richard Hugo-Hamman, Managing Director of LEAP Legal Software believes that Web Collaborator is an important add on to LEAP’s offering to the marketplace and adds further value to their overall solution for customers. He also adds that LEAP is delighted to have been working with Red Rain on the creation of this new module for the publishing of LEAP data to the web. LEAP is the market leading provider of legal office software solutions for small law firms. The company supports over 3,500 customers from offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Adelaide.

Mr Fisher says that in today’s demanding market, Red Rain’s software provides a competitive advantage to firms by giving the client immediate access to defined matter information and associated documents via the Internet, without firms needing capital investment or changes to their business processes. There is no need to invest in extensive and complex web infrastructure, the software is simply installed on the LEAP server and it automatically publishes the designated data and documents to the web for access by clients.

“The client benefits from quicker and immediate access to information, with the ability to download data and documents if required, and the firm benefits by providing a facility to improve client service and lower costs. Clients can also send instructions and notes, print and download data, filter and sort as required and schedule reports to be delivered on a periodical basis,” he adds.

Web Collaborator scalable from a single person practice to the largest international firm is sure to expand Red Rain’s already impressive client list which includes organisations such as Ashursts, Clayton Utz, Maurice Blackburn, Slater & Gordon, Hunt & Hunt, HWL Ebsworth, Hall & Wilcox, Brown Wright Stein, Pizzeys, Madderns, Coleman Greig, Armstrong Legal, Results Legal and Allens Arthur Robinson.

Mr Fisher is Red Rain’s chief software technician and has been creating and delivering quality software solutions and providing technical integration services to professional service firms for over 25 years.

Already having experience with utilising offshore software development, Mr Fisher engaged Mitrais to partner with the strategic development of the web-based application using Microsoft Silverlight and Windows Azure technology.

When asked about his experience partnering with Mitrais, Mr Fisher replied, “The calibre of the Mitrais Developers I interviewed was impressive. I felt immediately comfortable with their ability and that I could work closely with them. I find Indonesian people to be very honest with great initiative and this was confirmed throughout the development process with Mitrais.”

“The proximity and relative time zones of Bali to Sydney didn’t pose any barriers. It’s similar to Perth to Sydney. Red Rain looks forward to a long-term relationship with Mitrais,” he adds.
