In mining operations, Overburden Material Balance analysis is important to ensure the availability of disposal area.

To analyze, we need some information such as when the capacity of a disposal area will be full, the amount of overburden that requires disposal, when to prepare a new disposal area, etc.

With SPRY, the analysis of material balance overburden can be accelerated and executed effectively. Please see the following steps:

1) Create a custom field and name it, for example, “Has Destination” dan fill in the fields, as shown in the screenshot below.

2) Create a custom field and name it, for example, “No Destination” dan fill in the fields as shown in the screenshot below.

3) Create Pivot Tables, then drag custom field “Destination”, “No Destination” and “Reporting Period” that have been created before.

From the pivot tables above, scheduler can show that starting from December 2022, additional disposal area is needed because the available one can only accommodate 25% of the overburden (200,686 bcm), while 593,384 bcm overburden requires disposal.
