As a long-standing, leading software company, Mitrais understands that preparing future talent in technology requires more than just teaching code, tools, or theory. It takes exposure to real-world challenges, meaningful mentorship, and an environment for learning and growth.
As part of Mitrais commitment to people’s development and community engagement, we actively welcome academic institutions to our offices through academic visits and internships. By opening doors to students and educators, Mitrais acts as a bridge between education and industry, offering firsthand insights into how a global tech company operates, collaborates, and grows alongside its people.
Numerous academic institutions in the region have reaped the benefits of exploring Mitrais from the inside. Among them were Universitas Aisyiyah Yogyakarta, Faculty of Duta Bangsa University Surakarta, Ma Chung University and even vocational schools like SMK Telkom Purwokerto.
Academic Visits: Learning Beyond the Classroom
No number of textbooks, lectures, and hours of screen time can fully equip students for their real-world roles. That’s why direct insights and experience in their aspiring careers are key.
Mitrais designs each academic visit in a way that is not only welcoming but also informative, answering students’ curiosity about the company’s business, culture, and ways of working. The sessions typically began with a company introduction, where they learned about Mitrais’ background and role in delivering software solutions for international clients.
Exchanges with Professionals
What makes these visits especially impactful is the interactive exchange between students and professionals. Beyond the overview, students were invited into open discussions with management representatives, talent partners, and experienced software engineers. Questions flowed freely, covering topics such as career preparation, industry expectations, and real project experiences. These conversations allowed them to see the tech industry from multiple perspectives, not just through a technical lens.
Office Tour
From a student’s perspective, an office tour is less about the building itself and more about “Can I see myself working here?” That’s why the visit always includes an office tour, where students are guided to see what the work environment is like in Mitrais. They explore different workspaces, workflows and roles. The tour offers a glimpse into what working in a professional environment is truly like. It helps reduce anxiety about entering the workforce by making professional settings feel more familiar and achievable. With the real-world context that they get, students make more informed career decisions.
Remarks from the Participants
Two students from SMK Telkom Purwokerto shared their impressions on their visit:
Aura commented, “It was so exciting! When we arrived at Mitrais’ office, we joined a quiz with prizes for the winners. We also gained lots of insights about Mitrais and a clearer picture of what a career journey here could look like.”
Almira added, “We also had an engaging discussion with the seniors who work here. Before heading home, we joined another quiz, which was a fun way to review what we had learned and enjoy the session together.”
Mitrais Internship: Experiencing Culture and Ways of Working
If there is one thing that truly helps students transition from imagining a career to understanding it, it would be an internship.
That’s why, in addition to academic visits, Mitrais also offered university students the chance to experience its collaborative and learning-driven culture firsthand through an internship program. During the 2-month internship, by working closely with champion mentors, students observe and take part in how teams communicate, how ideas are shared, and how continuous improvement is put into daily work.
Through these interactions, students developed a clearer understanding of professional expectations beyond the classroom. They learned what it means to contribute to a team, manage responsibilities, and grow within a supportive yet high-performing workplace. For many, the internship has helped turn uncertainty into motivation and aspiration. Experiencing a workplace firsthand helps them confirm and map out certain career paths early, and they’re more likely to take school seriously and build relevant skills.
Creating Value for Future Talents and Clients
Mitrais believes that people’s growth starts early and becomes stronger through collaboration between the tech industry and academia. Academic visits and internship program are some of the ways Mitrais cultivates emerging talent while fostering meaningful relationships with educational institutions.
Looking ahead, Mitrais remains open to academic programs and partnerships that provide students with space to learn, ask questions, and gain real-world insight.
For clients and partners, this commitment reflects Mitrais’ long-term focus on developing capable, inquisitive, and collaborative professionals who are ready to meet the evolving demands of the global technology industry.
