DEVELOPERS ENDORSE VS.NET 2008 FOR EFFICIENCIES AND FEATURES
29 January 2008

Mitrais software developers have endorsed the integrated development environment provided by VS.NET 2008 following a major project to upgrade an Australian client’s geological modeling and mine design system from a legacy environment.

Working remotely from Bali, Mitrais set up a VPN connection for VS.NET 2008 to be able to work with the Team Foundation Server (TFS) at the client’s offices.

This is the first project Mitrais has undertaken using VS.NET 2008.

'A Mitrais spokesman said “the client could see many benefits in using VS.NET 2008. It commissioned Mitrais because there appears to be a shortage of software developers in Australia skilled in VS.NET.

“Our developers used most of the tools related to software quality and collaboration provided by the Team System edition.

“The collaborative software development environment using VS.NET 2008 and TFS provides quality work process and products using such functions as source control, work item, unit testing, code coverage, code analysis and nightly build integration.

“When it all comes into one integrated development environment, VS.NET 2008 provides developer efficiency with the enhanced feature, usability and robustness.“

Mitrais is a Microsoft Gold Certified developer.
