Giving something back

Mitrais embraces the principle as a corporation that it has fundamental responsibilities to the society in which it operates.

Those responsibilities include assisting those who are disadvantaged as a result of trauma, medical problems or economic circumstances, as well as helping to lay a solid educational foundation which is essential to improving the long term well-being of our community.

Our support of YKIP and of Indonesian universities embodies our belief in this principle.

	Yayasan Kemanusiaan Ibu Pertiwi Mitrais provides direct and inkind support for this foundation dedicated to health and education projects.
	Indonesian University Programs Mitrais works closely with a number of Indonesian universities.

This Kuta monument tells of more than the names of those who suffered in the horrific Bali bombings. It is a pointer to the importance of the work being done by YKIP for the Balinese community which, while barely recovered from the bombing of 2002 took another body blow when further explosions rocked Kuta and Jimbaran just three years later. Mitrais continues to support YKIP in its efforts to assist in recovery on all levels – medical, emotional and economic.

As part of its ongoing commitment to Indonesian universities, Mitrais accepts students for two months on-the-job IT training during the regular semester breaks. Mitrais also welcomes study excursions in which a Mitrais project manager shares extensive knowledge with students from the Institute of Technology Bandung (ITB) and the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) Surabaya.
